How It Works
Each and every pair of sunglasses from the Babiators Eco Collection is crafted with a purpose and sourced from salvaged waste materials at risk of polluting our oceans.
We’ve chosen to partner with leading companies in plastic waste reclamation that works hand-in-hand with small coastal communities around the world, including Haiti, Mexico, Philippines, Brazil, India, and more.
While many of these communities lack formal waste collection programs, this partnership empowers local residents to help clean up the coastlines, while also contributing to their livelihood. One bag of collected plastic waste can help support a single family for up to a week. The collected plastic can also be exchanged for tuition, tech goods, and healthcare.
The collected plastics — which can include everything from milk jugs to patio furniture to toys and toiletry bottles — is then sorted, washed, and transformed into a flexible, ultra-durable, and high-quality PCR resin that will become your little’s new Babiators.
